Today I wanted to take some time to tell you guys about how my new air purifier is working out. Air Doctor was an awesome investment for me and my family.
After doing some research on its competitors, we found that it has a lot of features that the more expensive brands don’t, and we are super happy with it so far.
The air in the house feels fresher, smells better, and we are even sleeping better at night too!
Why I Use an Air Purifier
There’s a lot of stuff in the air that can affect our health. Allergens, dust, smoke, pollen, mold spores, and pet dander to name a few.
But these turn into air pollution when combined with ozone, invisible gases, and toxic chemicals that are emitted by building materials, furniture, carpeting, paint, cleaning products, and heck, even hairspray.
There’s no escaping it.
Indoor air pollution can have some serious consequences on our health. They start small and build up, and the scary thing is that we often don’t notice it happening it because we’re so used to it.
According to the EPA, immediate signs of indoor air pollution include irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat, headaches, dizziness, and fatigue.
If you have pre-existing conditions like asthma, it’s even worse. Long-term effects include respiratory disease, heart disease, and even cancer.
But there are many reasons I love having an air purifier that aren’t just preventative measures. Seasonal allergies disappeared and I have a clearer head.
I feel like my immunity has gone up too! And after putting an AirDoctor in the bedroom, my husband and I are sleeping a lot better.
Plus, the peace of mind knowing that my 2-year-old isn’t being exposing to anything harmful is definitely worth the investment!
How does it Work?
The Air Doctor purifies the air of spaces up to 2400 sq. ft. once every hour. It weighs less than a small child, making it easy to move between floors and rooms too. I also really like its sleek, modern look.
The AirDoctor operates on a fan that pulls air through three filters:
- 1The air first goes through a pre-filter, which absorbs large particles like dust and animal hair.
- 2The second is a patented, dual-action carbon/gas trap/vac filter. It removes toxic ozone, gas, and volatile organic compounds. It filters out the nasty gases that are emitted from building materials and cleaning products, including formaldehyde.
- 3The third is the HEPA filter. A HEPA filter is a high-efficiency particulate absorber; a mesh filter than can capture the tiniest of particles. AirDoctor uses the uber-effective, patented UltraHEPA™. It can capture 99.99% of particles as small as 0.003 Microns. That is 100 times smaller than regular HEPA filters. In plain speak, it filters out the smallest, most dangerous little buggers.
The air is sucked through those three filters by the amazingly quiet WhisperJet fans. This was a huge plus for me, especially because we use one in the bedroom.
If you watch my video, you won’t notice any sound at all. Even though it’s running the whole time!
Apparently these are 30% quieter than other air purifier fans—and cheaper! But more on that later…
Special Features
The AirDoctor’s digital display has great features that make everything easier. There’s an alert that goes off when it’s time to change filters, as well as a sleep mode, air ionizer, and auto-mode.
An auto-mode isn’t very common among household air purifiers, and I don’t really understand why. It minimizes effort. When auto-mode is activated, a button will light up alerting you of the air quality, and adjust the fan speed accordingly.
This makes the purifier super efficient, and saves as much energy as possible. I haven’t even noticed a big difference in my gas bill, which was a huge relief.
However, you don’t have to use the auto-mode. There is also a timer, so you can leave the AirDoctor on when leaving the house without worrying about it all day.
The air ionizer removes microbes and odors from the air and freshens up space!
How much does it Cost?
An AirDoctor costs $629.00 plus $29.95 S&P. But I’ve got a special discount code for you guys! I look at it as an investment in you and your family’s health. When you compare the AirDoctor to the price of other air purifiers, you’ll see that it’s very well-priced.
This comes with all the filters you’ll need to get started, and is covered by a one-year warranty. New filters can be bought online, but the ones you start out with should last you months—even years—depending on how often you use the AirDoctor.
Final Thoughts About Air Doctor Pro
This isn’t my first air purifier, but it may be my last. I’ve spent more money on ones that I don’t like as much as this. I’d definitely recommend the AirDoctor to anyone concerned about the air quality of their home.
